Basic survival depends on the meeting of the basic needs, oxygen, water, food, love and shelter. When someone takes away these necessities the whole inner hell breaks for most of the individuals regardless of the level of civilization or nice upbringing.
As I said it before, law and order, religious or social morals, ethics, customs, traditions, sense of belonging and even God are the things of full stomach, they all take a back seat when an ordinary individual goes without the food for few days and has no hope to find it.
We as societies should know that, if a community, nation or a religion can not take care of its sick and weak, they are not healthy, even for themselves. Our law and order and constitutions should be designed to be against the extremes of both political polarities and especially should be for the equal human rights.
Collectively and even individually, community matters to all of us but when you have not eaten for a while all bets are off whether we like it or not, but the trouble is that we can develop habits, so being selfish can bring you in the world of dog eat dog. From individual committing social crimes, to all the way communities going to wars against each other, are the social habits we need to shake, so we can step up a level, in our potential ladder of civilization.
In today’s governing systems our societies collect tax to run our affairs. If you have more you give to government instead of the poor directly because your contribution can dry with your personal insecurities. If you make less you automatically would cut your expenses and your giving would be the one first to go. Governments collect and run the programs for less fortunate or other day today up keeps to provide easier life to its citizens. Logically and spiritually we all should chip in happily but that is not always the case. It has come to the point that we keep voting for the political parties who say we would cut the taxes yet we all want our communities to run smoothly. From police to roads to crime free societies are demanded from the governments. If government has to cut programs life can be harder and insecure for the ordinary individual so our political parties are in the pickle. If you don’t keep your promise you are out in the next election so to me we all need to be educated about taxes and spiritual nature of human individual.
We want everything from our governments, from free health care, old age pension and security to affordable living and all other securities in the time of vulnerabilities. If everything costs money where would that money come from? Taxes are the simple answers but if you live in the dog eat dog world you would not be happy to pay your taxes. This is where I believe an individual needs spiritual help so they can understand human nature and dependency on each other just like you help your dependents in the family. If there is no education of spirituality, not only we as an individual are confused as communities we suffer and fall behind of those who do understand it. Politically we have been bombarded that taxes are part of socialism so even our so called religious people who spouse to preach spirituality become or choose non spiritual actions. These confusions are created by our powerful political propaganda just to come in power so conservatives or republicans preach that socialism as a villain or boggy man. Sure socialism has its liberty robbing points but that is related to the people who get in the power. If you look at closely you will find more spirituality in socialism than the dog eat dog philosophy.
I may sound like I am for socialism but I am actually picking and choosing the good points from all human knowledge to preach spirituality. First of all spirituality is against individual injustice, if you put mass of people ahead of the individual it is spiritual injustice so I would be counting mass of people as one entity or corporation which can be taken to court if it commits injustice against the individual. Spirituality is more like a justice system which can’t be infiltrated with any kind of political influences. If they are tainted they become modern day religions and politically influenced biased justice systems. Interestingly today political parties appoint supreme court judges, one should be able to see how politics is tainting everything, no wonder we are in such a chaos.
Let’s look at these things logically and personally, say I am eighty year old, can’t eat much, sleep much, do much and can’t take along with me what I have but still I am complaining about the taxes I pay. The real and actual problem is not the taxes because by nature we want to help the individual in need. Being in position to help makes us feel good and bring us spiritual satisfaction so what is the problem. It sure is not that we are becoming spiritually bankrupt because there is a large segment of population which votes against the conservatives or republicans so its the feelings of injustice. In day today life we consider a government, a corporation or even an other individual as a person should be taken to court if they do the acts of injustice. If that is the case we just can’t paint that picture politically, it should be painted spiritually. For instance if an individual is perfectly capable to work and help yet they try to milk the system its spiritually wrong. That wrong should be spiritually taught and if the group is cheating and using collected taxes for their political agendas it is against spiritual values as well so this discussion should be open to public without any political influences.
We have been going back and forth with our progress, especially when it comes to our social issues and religion related extremes. Human being has been experimenting and evolving with social rules for thousands of years, but the hunger for power and political control has been consistent. At times, it has been wrapped in the rapper of the religions and hidden behind the good, which spouse to be plain and simple spirituality, but unfortunately this has not been the case.
Even in today’s democratic time, democracy calls for individual education, for instance a voter has the responsibility to use their rights to vote. Why, how to, who to vote requires not only personal awareness but the knowledge of communal issues as well. If you lack individual strength, you could be herded like a sheep and used for political agendas of a few. You can’t just vote because someone is your relative or friend. You have to not only look at the character of the individual, you have to know what your personal values are and the party you are voting for whether their values match your values. If you are a CEO of your life, you can’t be influenced one way or the other. To become a CEO of your life you have to gain well rounded education. Your spiritual values should be in front of you when you vote for political party. If religions are jumping into the politics it is too dirty for a spiritual path so religions should be kept out of our political systems.
Since the religions came our wars should have been stopped but it went exactly the opposite, we fight and kill each other with great passion yet truly believe that we are doing the right thing in the name of God. It especially gets ridiculous when you see the people killing each other in the name of same religion and same God.
Personally I think it has never been about God or spirituality, it has always been about the politics of sense of belonging to a belonging group, whether it is for the revenge of love loss, territory or plain and simple collective ego. All these reasons are related to everything but God or spirituality.
There was an old movie about Russia and the communism, I forgot the title, when the revolution came people’s big houses were taken by the government, and they were forced to share their houses with a whole lot of strangers. Noble act and cause to help the people whom did not have home, but clearly on the expense of the individual suffering and human rights violation.
I believe there is always a reaction, you go too far in capitalism without the boundaries, or when you end up in reaction zone you will get into the socialism or even worse communism. In American election Bernie Sanderson got lot of followers, it is a clear sign of discontentment and has clear potential for the rise of socialism in the capital nation, and it just because of the extreme capitalism. Both extremes bring the pendulum to swing, so the pendulum can swing back to the other side.
Capitalism can allow the rich to get richer by free wheeling and dealing. Depending on the insecurity level of the individual, money gets accumulated regardless. Sure people invest and reinvest but the spending hands, depend on the personal and individual insecurities. Thus money gets taken out of circulation and turns into properties and land owners or even the people hiding behind the banks, which gets the poor, poorer, especially this day and age with technological advances things are changing rapidly and the gap is rising faster than past.
For example, if I am a farmer and have fifty people working for me during the harvest. My next door farmer comes to see me with a business proposal, he tells me that he had invested in a machine to harvest, and can harvest the whole farm with in a day or two, if I wanted to get mine done, he would do it for me for the tenth of the cost. If I am a good businessman, I will let my farm hands go to save money and time because that is the nature of the doing business in capitalism.
Legally there is nothing wrong with it, so people lose jobs all the time, sure they can find work somewhere else but as a capitalist it is not my head ache. If everyone thinks like this the society loses the spiritual aspect and goes to an extreme where the pendulum would swing back towards the other extreme until further notice. This back and forth is not good for the humanity as a whole, we should as humanity, spose to evolve constantly in all departments of life. Finance alone is not the enough to run a country or a nation, it is not a business and proof is clearly out there the countries with the social net work and universal health care are scored better and higher than America regardless of its title of super power in the world.
If that keeps happening a population of unemployed and hungry people can turn onto the governing authorities or becomes one, because they can’t afford food or meet their basic necessities. If every body got a gun, that one percent of the powerful people is a very low number to have all the power, thus they can lose more than they have bargain for.
Socialism or communism has been the reactionary systems to the capitalism, and capitalism is a reaction to the restrictions brought on to the individual by the socialism or communism.
Liking of the capitalism by the individual, is closely related with the individual’s personal insecurities, these insecurities stem from the knowledge of mortality and that is why it seems so natural to have and hoard more than the needs.
Logically the knowledge of mortality should take the individual to the opposite side of hoarding but we love to compete and succeed, so we make money and hoard just to fit in, compete, impress, or simply want to be admired by the other people around, yet without an exception, eventually we all have to leave everything behind including the other people.
A while back there was a rich man whom died in Toronto and left some fifteen point nine billion with the B, behind yet one of his friend was talking about him on TV, that he was very exited to buy a freezer full of hot dogs on sale, while lived in an old house.
You can accumulate as much you want but you can only consume and eat limited amount during your limited time, so living with extreme desire to fit in, compete, impress or just to be admired can not be healthy because you are doing it all, for the other people. It is your out of control sense of belonging compelling you to live in deprivation as an individual so you can save and make more than you consume. The reality is that, it is not what you have in a mortal life what matters, it is what you have consumed during a temporary visit.
If you live in a tax paying nation and always complain about taxes, but you have plenty of comfort, you will always want to elect whomever gives you a good tax break regardless of your personal beliefs. Sure taxes are a pain, but if we all know spiritual living and know what happens to the money we pay, we would gladly pay because, helping the needy, after all is a spiritual thing to do. If we help the poor and at the same time serve a purpose of our lives, which I believe, is to reciprocate.
If the tax system is taught in school kids with the experiment. Say a teacher wanted to give his twenty class kids ten dollars each, but he did not know that he had lost two ten dollars bills. As he is giving a ten dollar bill to each kid he noticed that he is short twenty dollars. If he or she asks the kids to give one dollar each to the two kids whom did not get any money, so everyone can have equal amount of money. I can bet my bottom dollar that, knowing human decency they will gladly chip in. Now every one has nine dollars but it may leave the impression that, I am preaching the socialism but I am not talking about the socialism nor the communism. I am talking about the spiritual decency of the human beings whom naturally want the fairness and help the others, but when we get polluted with taught insecurities, we believe, what is mine is mine and I don’t have to give to anyone, yet this money was given by the teacher whom wanted to be fair to all kids. Kids can see all the spirituality with their innocence yet as adult they fall into the dog eat dog world of competition with no responsibility of morality and yet with pride. Personally I think helping others is an ingrained natural thing which is related with the good side of all human beings, that is why spirituality is still alive even this day and age. That is why we pay taxes to have a helping system in all societies regardless of their prosperity. So paying taxes is and it should be taught, as a good and spiritual thing from the beginning. If we would have the knowledge as growing up adults we would not complain so much because we would understand more about it being connected to spirituality.
If the rich gets richer and poor gets poorer it is not because of the system it is because of the individual insecurities, and we all live with in the different levels of it, find your level and work on it to free your self, so you can reduce your stress level and all related physical ills.
Either extreme will bring the extreme reaction which is wrong place to be, if you become selfish and don’t even want to pay taxes, and move your business to some foreign and distant land to make extra money. It is because of the lack of understanding, that the use of your help which is related to your personal spirituality.
If you are always looking for the hand outs and don’t participate, you are not reciprocating either, thus you are going against the spirituality as well. As a human individual you have been given everything by nature the oxygen, health and the ability to pull your share, yet you are not pulling your share, because you think that makes you smart, but it would be just like the Donald Trump on the other side, who openly said if I don’t pay the taxes that makes me smart. Spiritually if you don’t reciprocate it is not going against anyone else, it is just going against yourself, remember that if you help someone it is not only good for the individual who gets helped, it is good for the helper as well because the helper feels good and worthy about him/herself. At social level if you use someone and keep doing it, it would make someone angry who is paying the taxes, or don’t pay the taxes while you make more than you need, Obama got himself in trouble by saying that, you came into life where everything was set up for you the roads, bridges etcetera . If this attitude or not paying taxes and using the system by the able bodies, exists in both sides, it is not healthy for the society in the long run.
We need a system which provides the balance, you can climb up if you want to and enjoy your mortal journey, but you can’t hoard, you can go on assistance but not for generations.
Food stamps to welfare, to universal health care, they all are the hallmarks of spirituality so it should not be considered as a burden. Religions try to preach selflessness and helping the poor but fail miserably by joining the conservatives or republicans whom always work against the spiritual things like universal health care, welfare and all other helping mechanisms because they all depend on the tax systems.
I learn growing up that, in Islam it is said, that if your neighbor sleeps hungry, your food is not kosher for you, yet when it comes to election most religious people would vote for the party which is against helping the poor, or universal health care and welfare. This is a clear sign that politics has turn the religions into the business of power, where spirituality takes a back seat.
I just can’t seem to wrap my head around this, because if you are a religious individual you have a duty to find spirituality. Where and how did the things go wrong, why the people whom are called Godless know spirituality more than the Godly people. How did they step ahead of all Godly people? And how did they know the practical prayers? To me by bringing the help to the poor and helpless, they are closer to God spiritually than a regular church goer or whom prays five times a day yet votes against the spiritual things. People whom call themselves Godly but shamelessly vote against spiritual things, they have bought into the politics not spirituality.
If you are told as an individual, that helping people with taxes is coming from the Godless people, thus you are not to follow, you have been sold the wrong thing. If you buy into it, you should question yourself, is it because of your respect to your religion and sense of belonging? If so then question your sense of belonging and be a good CEO to find the answer beyond the politics.
My question is whether it comes from Godless people or not, why it did not come or even followed by the religious people? After all its clearly spirituality related. If actions are spirituality related or politically driven, an individual with a free will should be able to judge and see the politics behind the propaganda.
If you can’t, at least you should not stand or go against it.
Understanding the politics of sense of belonging falls under the self governing system, thus it is individual’s responsibility to choose how to vote regardless of the religious preaching. You should be able to see the politics behind the preacher’s loyalties to religious politics or even the political party’s social agenda.
When and if you are able to see that, then and only then your true religion and nationality is humanity. When you can see the whole humanity as a whole, then and only then you are spiritually grown up, otherwise you are a victim of your group’s politics, and you are black mailed with the politics of sense of belonging to your belonging group.
Sure it feels secure to be in a not so deep pond because of your footing and its boundaries but the pond security is the falls one. We have created hundreds of ponds with the political lines on our earth yet physically it has non, and to boot, on the other side, there are people whom keep discovering new things even new planets.
Your belonging groups will keep telling you that you can’t be secure unless you are in the belonging pond, yet they can’t provide you the security everyone is looking for. Just look into the history and even now a days, I dare you to try to count the death toll of our wars over the nationalism and religions and then look at their claim to provide you security. They keep sending you to kill and get killed and can’t even provide you with the oxygen to keep you alive. No parent, family, community, nation or religion provides the oxygen to the living individual, its the entity beyond our understanding, who is keeping us alive, it is not a random accident that you are able to live with will, if that was the case human being would be immortal. With the twenty percent brain power no one knows God. As I said what came first chicken or the egg? If you choose God or the human being came first, it would be an assumption and with less than optimal use of brain power you are going to get in the murky waters.
Our lives are part of a much bigger picture, you can be happy with the falls security but when the question comes to real security, there is non for a mortal being, so it is with the belief system you can put some quality or rob yourself of it by living and believing in extreme egotistic belief system. We are all mortal, so we need to look beyond our security in our living years.
Religions talked about it, but it has been just the talk because they still are preaching the pond philosophy. They have been fighting and fought over it for thousands of years, yet with great passion to the point that they commit spiritual crimes. Unfortunately they still are doing it, yet they have not progressed not even an inch in the Godly knowledge the mankind around them keep progressing in all other departments of life, it just is not possible to evolve in everything but in the religious knowledge, we need to step up and acknowledge our stubborn and egotistic behavior about our sense of belonging to groups rather than the humanity as a whole.
If you look around all the progress has been made by the human beings, whom thought beyond the boundaries. Ocean is rising figuratively and literally with global warming. Internet spills over the boundaries of the ponds, and all the news is spreading instantly, which has politicians of the ponds worried, so the protectionism is preached vigorously, but we just can’t close our eyes or buried our heads in the sand and say God would protect us. I believe God himself is involved in it all as well, because it is time for the humans, to get together and protect themselves so God himself can physically exist. Protectionism in religions and nationalism is based on the group politics, thus it makes them as ponds. Spirituality, God and humanity on the other hand are like inter net, they are bigger than any one particular political or governing system, so if we want to deal with our big problems like global warming or killing each other over our differences, we need to join each other as a humanity beyond the politics of sense of belonging to our respected groups. We have been and are still infected with our group politics because we can’t even handle and are torn about the political refugees created by ourselves, how are we going to deal with the environmental migration. So I believe we have no choice but to come together as a humanity. Imagine if all the fivers worked to enhance the humanity, where would we be. (Read five bucks) Unfortunately we have been and are still robbing each other of that fiver, some by killing and some by the brain drain to make each other weak. I believe we all should know, each taken out fiver is a net loss for the humanity.
Religious people should think, that if you believe that the human knowledge you call it coming from the Godless people is wrong, thus not to be followed. I whole heartedly believe that its wrong, because a knowledge is knowledge until it practiced then and only then it becomes a wisdom. You can have a lot of wisdom written in the holy books but if your sense of belonging is over powering and you are only using the knowledge but not the wisdom you are looking at half the picture what God is trying to show you. Universal health care or welfare are the good and spiritual deeds to help God, so its spiritual, you should stand for the spirituality instead of standing with the people whom speak God’s words yet their actions speak as Godless.
