Our ability to think has been, is and will be there for ever or until as an individual we die. Regardless of the awareness of mortality, our choices are tainted and influenced by the emotions and the politics of strong sense of belonging. Which makes me think that we are not even close to reaching our potential. If the ability to think is an evolutionary process then the thought process should be as well, so should be the emotional awareness. Since there is a chance of being incorrect, our actions should never be under the influences of the passionate emotions but that has been and is the reality of the humanity. When you are emotionally charged the consequences take the back seat, and we become very dangerous, a knowledgeable and angered creature armed with the guns and nuclear bombs can do the real harm.
We as a humanity are going through a process of growth, for instance, we have to pass wax paper barrier. As a boy I use to go to listen to sermon by the Molaana Ajmal one of the Muslim preacher in Pakistan. One day he said and I” Quote” If I give you a paper and ask you to put your finger through but don’t rip the paper, how are you going to do it? If you force your way through, you will rip the paper and can’t see the real knowledge of the other side. We have to use a pin to make small holes to start the process, which needs patience and persistence. “End Quote”.
Just like the process of learning in the school in grades or building muscles, you just can’t learn instantly or can’t build muscles, lifting heavier than you are ready for. If we keep poking little holes, or digging gradually we are following the path to learn and know more about ourselves and our potential. We are at the level, that we now know that there is a process and it needs a constant struggle and drive to learn and adopt to a higher level of evolution. We may have made enough holes so we can peek through a finger sized hole but still we can’t see the whole picture, so we have a lot of assumptions. In order to know everything we need to be on the other side in person. Unfortunately none of us can tell what is on the other side unless we are dead and when we are dead the communication seizes for the ordinary folks like you and me. Now how can we learn about the other side, without the assumptions while we are alive, the only way is, to pursue it with the patience of generations. If you are too liberal you are eager to rip the paper, or if you are too conservative you may stop the process of digging, because of the fear of entering and invading the God’s territories, and stay put, which I believe, is exactly against God’s will, why? just look at our make up, every single cell of us suggests to pursuit our potential, that is why regardless of the conservative efforts we are constantly evolving, everything in the human body whether its physical, emotional, mental, psychological or spiritual gets better and evolves according to the demands and every thing shrivels and dies by disuse and stalling. BUT
If you push too fast you potentially rip the paper and don’t get to understand any thing other than your ego, and by not pursuing and accepting the status quo is an extreme as well. For evolving human being, either extreme is wrong, so we need constant digging and drive to dig, but with patient to grow and reach out for our potential. God is proud of his creation but only if we reach to our full potential, and it is our responsibility to pursue our potential, so we can reach to the level what God had meant for us.
The most confusing aspect of all religions is that how and why an entity with the potential to evolve, should be staying in the boundaries? If you look at the rules of any religion you will know what I am talking about. Personally I believe all the religious boundaries are either to control the population politically or there is a wisdom to slow us down so we can evolve safely without ripping the wax paper. Either way we are evolving and political religious people don’t like it, because they are losing their control. If you are the follower of the text but don’t really believe in it, you may even create more boundaries for your self, because of your insecure nature. A religious living is and should be living with a spiritual belief system which should logically remove the fear and insecurities, but if you look deeply instead of believing in God people become so controlling that they cross the spiritual boundaries to commit spiritual crimes against the innocent individuals in the name of God.
God’s wisdom is amazing, just look at yourself and your free will closely, we have the opposing senses like sense of belonging and sense of freedom yet with the free will, so the duty ends up on the shoulders of an individual. Free will and the curiosity in the DNA; we are bound to break the boundaries, so the knowledge is contributed by both sides. Followers preach the following the status quo, and the curious rule breakers, break the boundaries to dig in deeper for more knowledge, it’s ironic that both are contributing in there ways they know. One to slow down the other, just to create the sacred rhythm, so we don’t rip the wax paper. Who is following God’s will? It is the question since the dawn of the civilization and the cause of our wars and extreme prejudice. Can one really be breaking the boundaries created by God? I would whole heartedly say no, because the will of God for the human being is to evolve. There is not a bird which can fly into the space yet regardless of the wings human being is there just because we broke the orders of religions, notice, I said orders of the religions not God, it is because I believe our religions have been tainted with the politics of control which benefits the belonging groups.
We will know more not by digging the bones of our ancestors, past history or assuming about the future and fighting over the life after death. If we do a little poking to figure out, it is coming everyday and its all in the present. What is on the other side? What is human’s potential? Where did we come from? What we really are? Where does God exist? How does God’s work gets done? Where do we stand? Where are we going? Why don’t we know everything? And the biggest question is why do we claim that we know every thing there is to know?
By looking in our history we always have been claiming that we know everything, yet we have been proven wrong over and over to learn more and evolve . Understanding the evolutionary process will eventually bring all the answer to every question, but you have to dig and pursue the potential, so we can use more of our abilities, what God had installed in us, it is not that we are learning new things everyday, it that we are keep scratching the surface of our brain to dig in for more because we came with that potential.
The real wisdom is not only in the Holy Scriptures, it is coming from all directions just like the rivers pour into the oceans as common sense knowledge, and it is contributed by everyday individuals.” For instance I was watching a movie about Buddha in one seen, Buddha was meditating on the river bank, for days, he had not eaten or had water, a row boat was going by with two people, one was rowing and other was playing a string instrument. The music player stops the music and says to the rower, “you know if you tighten it too much, it will snap on you, and if you don’t tighten it, it would not play the music”. Buddha heard that and stopped his meditation to eat. He learnt something wise from an ordinary individual. That means Buddha took the knowledge from a music player, whether that knowledge was sent from the higher power or the musician is another story, but regardless music player was the messenger. Buddha put that balance into his practice and preached the balance from then on. We all have the ability to think and contribute the common sense knowledge, in everyday life whether he/she is poet, scientist, medical researcher or belong to another kind of educational line the purpose is the same and that is to help the humanity.
All creatures follow certain order of nature; they come in life, eat, sleep, reproduce and die. It has been going on for very long time long before human being became aware of the spirituality; I don’t look into the time for the answers, like when did we become aware, or who started the awareness? Because it is meaningless to me, what I really want to know is why? this why has answers from all kind of people from religious to scientific back ground but, definitely with assumptions, and assumptions are assumptions, we just can’t claim with our presently limited yet evolving knowledge that we know everything there is to know. We have been killing each other over, our assumptions and we keep doing that, and for how long will we do that? I would assume, until the human individual evolves to be a CEO, whom can say no to the politics of sense of belonging to the belonging group or until we all learn to belong to the humanity as a whole. Until we over come our prejudice and learn that every human being is a cell of God and God lives through the living human beings.
It’s mind boggling to me that we are keep advancing technologically, yet we can’t seem to figure it out that how can we put humanity over the group politics. If you look back from a family pack to community, city, province, nation, race and religion, the process of growth is there but it is still tainted with the competition and cut throat group politics. If we take humanity at the level of our technology, we will grow and raise our ability to see and achieve the understanding of the knowledge to help the humanity where God actually exists, thus growing to that level, one not only start to respect him/herself is part of God but respect others as part of God as well. The vary cause of prejudice can be eradicated inside of the one individual at a time by helping them believing in equal human rights to help others to get help him/her self spiritually.
A dead squirrel on the road is a common sight, if you look for the hole it lived in, most probably you will find saved up nuts, useless for the saver, but can be a treasure for the founder, the other hungry squirrel, and that is, if that hole is found.
We humans are supposed to be better than that, but our mortality makes us look at life, just like a squirrel. Our world is running on the promotions of business related and fear based security. Even the belief systems are tainted, if you want a spot in the heaven, you have to give money to the church and mosque. Security and control is such a big business that the individual would be looked down and made feel stupid, if one does not follow the mass, so we are preached to live like squirrels, instead of the birds. Birds come to north in the summer with no nest, nobody waiting for them, they just have faith that there will be food. Everyday they go find food, make nests, reproduce, and migrate back in the winter. Total faith, exactly the opposite to the squirrel yet both are extreme. Human being is above and beyond the level of these creatures because we know that we are mortal yet still we live in fear like a squirrel.
I know that I am an idealist and it is just a thought, if you take all the resources from the immobile securities, you can create a business large enough that the profit alone can feed millions of hungry people, and reduce the human sufferings, have a poverty tax or there should be groups of people who can afford to put money together in an organized way that they don’t lose their investments but the profits can go towards the better humanity, Taxes have taken a bad rap because they way they have been enforced, our education system should start to teach us from the early age that giving is reciprocating. Everyone of us is alive not because of our efforts, being alive is a miracle just look above, the sky is not falling, look inside and see the things working in harmony regardless of trillions of self cells and ten time more bacteria. If you think that you can will it, just look around and see the people trying to survive a disease. If you are kept alive you should be appreciative for the free oxygen you breath for free to function, we all should learn to reciprocate. Helping humanity is helping God because God’s actions are done through the living human being.
I don’t promote communism like thinking, because it’s the other extreme. Balance is crucial to the individual and the society simultaneously. If you pick the extreme capitalism, its tainted with the human insecurities and greed so it would breed the one percent and ninety-nine percent and on the other side, the communism is against the human’s free nature. Either way we can’t depend on just the human courtesy or the extreme rules. The charities dry with the individual insecurities yet the need of humanity does not stop.
Our mortality should actually make us humble and generous, but we are far from it. Let’s look at it this way; we wear expensive jewelry, name brand cloths, drive nice expensive cars, and what is the driving force behind it? For sure it’s not the mortality. It is all that powerful sense of belonging, what makes us suffer in private life with anorexia or bulimia even we are aware of our mortality, what compels us to live in self created extremes. Why do the individual has the need to impress others, fit in or have strong desire to be admired? It is that almighty and out of control sense of belonging.
God has equally blessed us all with the free will, it’s what we do with it is different. You can use free will to follow the trends and reduce yourself to a squirrel or go to the other extreme and become a reckless spender, or make sense out of it all. Use it to live like a mortal, if you can’t take along use it for self and remember the real human happiness is not only in being selfish, if you can end someone’s suffering you value your self and become aware of deep and meaningful happiness. This knowledge has been around since the dawn of civilization, but we always had sufferings to deal with. Each and everyone of us has to do some soul searching. Do we have to live under the powerful sense of belonging or to go to other extreme and become totally selfish? Or become a CEO with the personal justice, ethics and morals.
It’s ironic that we use strong sense of belonging to become selfish, and strong sense of freedom to become unselfish. For instance with strong sense of belonging, you want to be admired looked at and be impressive, so you do the things to get everything what others want. You strive to get gold, diamonds etc. etc. If you don’t give out you hoard and then it’s time to go, so you leave it for your family, and that is, if you have any, otherwise it goes to the government, that means you have lived selfishly but at sub standard life. If you have strong sense of freedom, you don’t really care if you wore name brand cloths or not, you have nice car or not, you just live free of hoarding. If you have it you use it to live larger, what makes one selfish? Is the ignorance of the knowledge of mortality regardless of its reality.
In the core of human being there is humanity, but the insecurities we are wrapped up with, whether they are installed by the parents or the society, is not the question, it is the question of mortal living. Then there are social trends and personal responsibilities with loud inner voices, we become so occupied that we can’t here anything else other than personal needs, some time to the point that we don’t care about the inner voices of humanity.
If you don’t see or value your own self, think and feel inadequate, you will let others, to put their colors or values in you, which makes you lose your identity. You will become a sheep who needs some outer force like the people of your belonging group to move you. God is not going to be out there for you, even if your belonging group believes in God, if you can’t find God inside you, you would be lost, as an individual.
Since you are directly connected to the source meaning God you can’t be looking for God, just find your personal color and identity you will become spiritually aware, thus know God. Reciprocate during your living years instead of trying to secure a spot in the heaven which is after death and logically, you are really useful to God while you are alive, because even God needs to act physically through you to fulfill someone’s prayers.
Life is not just functioning of the organism, it’s the purpose of it, and you can choose to live a purpose driven life.
Function of the human is to survive, feed the body and start to look for the purpose. Sex to reproduce, self sacrifice to raise the off springs so the constant and continuum of humanity and God is stable, after that start to seek knowledge to better the humanity. Help the man kind and beyond.
What is that and where is that coming from? The reality is that it’s not what you see in space that matters, it’s your ability to see. If you seek God don’t dig out side it’s the inside knowledge you need more. It is not out side knowledge it’s the ability of your brain to understand. How and what is only solved by the curiosity and where does the curiosity come from. It is ingrained in you; you don’t just go to school to become curious. Major problems solvers did not learn from schools they explored by going inside and dig into the brain to put thing together.
