Today Canada thinks high speed internet should be a necessity because of its importance in the societies of the world.
I believe it should not be a tug of war between modern technology and our physical and emotional needs. They can compliment and work together.The needs of a social creature can be complicated and complex but we are continuously evolving to meet the demands and Internet is there to connect us with each other to meet the social needs of the social creature.
Getting hooked should not mean literally, we can use our technologies to help us, instead of hurting us individually. To deal with the internal pulls one has to become a CEO to understand and set boundaries. We have gone into it without our guards up. The side effects are popping up all over, from identity theft to child porn to fraud of all kind is leaving a sour taste of out of control addiction. We need to recognize the limitations and at the same time potential of surfing the virtual world.
Human needs to connect with each other for more than one reason, but personally I believe its one of our greatest stepping stone for advancing into evolution. From spirituality, believing in the existence of God and humanity, to overcoming our security related issues to become an individual who is a CEO of his/her life. I believe internet is not only a luxury but a God sent, essential tool for us to evolve further and quickly.
From our old ways where strict religious rules forced and helped to tame the human animal to still existing wars and the love loss related emotional desires to exterminate the enemy. Our out of control sense of belonging to our groups seem strong and natural because of the initial and immediate security, but the real security is in belonging to the humanity as a whole.
Today the signs of the trends are very clear and pronounced, our families, communities, even our nations and religions are unable to stop the knowledge from spreading. When something is that powerful and uncontrollable it is not wise to resist it, instead it should be embraced regardless of its imperfections. You have to see the positive in every new invention, and should be optimist about the new horizons. Sure nothing is perfect, but when was anything perfect for the human beings? We are designed to evolve, so we have to improve things no matter how good they are and this is just a start we are far from reaching our Godly potential.
People don’t want to improve in the religion department because they are fearful of their potential, they have been taught that these are God’s words thus can’t be improved, so tough it out and live with it, yet they neglect to see how much of human politics has been infiltrated into our religions. From the education of the prejudice to superiority complex to spiritual crimes against the humanity have nothing to do with God yet they throughout the history they have been part of our religions. Our ancestors have been killing each other and the modern human being has not yet evolved from this illness.
Quran is one text for all Muslims, but it is the Muslims passionately killing each other over who is right. Unfortunately the sectarian wars are not new, they are just as old as God’s words, so where is the spirituality pure of politic? I just can’t see that in the organized religions. The more you listen to the passionate religious leaders, more you become inclined to kill even the innocent children of the opposing groups, yet it is clearly stated that if you, even kill one innocent it is equal to killing the whole humanity. Since the politics can’t be separated from an organization of the human beings and yes, even if it is a religion, so it is time to evolve from our ancestral knowledge and fast.
The politics of security is in the foundation of our conflicts and our sense of belonging to our groups is a rocket fuel to burn the spirituality, humanity and God simultaneously. Internet is not only an information high way it is a path to evolution and potentially to help us to cross the boundaries of protectionism, prejudice, racism, nationalism and religious extreme, yet interestingly it allows to facilitate these human illnesses as well.
