Equal human rights, civil achievements, racial, national and religious freedom are all relate to the march of humanity towards its potential. From human sacrifice to killings of homosexuals to racism and all kind of prejudice and discrimination against each other have been changing for the better but not fast enough. Personally I believe we are evolving and progressing in all areas but it is kind of lob sided when it comes to our religions.
Unfortunately all along every achievement has been claiming human lives, there has always been strong resistance against the progress by our own kind. The lessons of the history are, that if you want to get something you have to fight for it. Yet even if it is good for the humanity we still have to struggle against our conservative fellow human beings. Regardless of us having the ability to discuss and debate, some how we can’t look at or ignore to look at our incomplete knowledge. Unfortunately we can’t stray from our ancestral knowledge even if it has been proven wrong. As human beings we are not only taught to believe that our ancestors can’t be wrong but we suppose to protect their traditions, customs, rituals and rules. Our education to respect, protect and sacrifice to be loyal to our sense of belonging. Even this day and age of equal human rights news are full of racism and prejudice related injustice.
For humanity change has never been easy, reaching for the potential or journey of evolution requires peeling of the layers and layers of personal and collective insecurities. Our politics of sense of belonging to one particular family, gang, community, nation or a religion has been our down fall. If we are born to human family as a human individual we automatically belong to humanity but our politically influenced education of sense of belonging teaches us otherwise. If we learn to belong to humanity we would be able to see, that in reality the humanity is just one beyond all the politics of divisions.
Individually we all need to be an evolved spiritual entity who can and does convert spiritual thoughts into physical actions. By now with all the evolution and civilization related understanding we should be able to peacefully debate and discuss our way to changes but we are far from it. Our political and religious disputes related wars are clear evidence of that. Unfortunately, we can’t carry on that way because on one side we have been evolving with nuclear weaponry but on the other side we are unable to evolve spiritually. An insecure individual with strong sense of belonging to their group, yet with finger on the powerful and destructive nuclear trigger button can be a deadly mix. Our evolution is not balanced because we don’t only put each other’s knowledge down, we have been carrying along our ancestral disputes as well. Humanity has never been able to live in a peaceful time still, after all that civilization and evolution we can’t even discus and debate our differences in civilized manors.
Balance is not easy to achieve even at the individual level, never mind collectively. Our disputes have largely been the product of the politics of belonging. Our social changes have never been without the influences of the politics of belonging. We have been used to of the changes brought by the top-down philosophy. Since the top-down philosophy influences to keep power in few hands yet by force. So, individual has always been a weaker participant until recently. Today belongs to the era of democracy and equal human rights. Individual is being educated to be a CEO who can see and read the politics of power behind every tradition, custom, ritual and rule of the society. These changes would make a shift from the bottom up. That will allow us to debate and discuss so the decisions can’t be made by the top few. Who have been holding special political and personal interest to gain and use powers to fulfill their personal and group related agendas. How and what would change in the future, will be by our ordinary individual awareness? Where would it take us as humanity? Would we go back and forth, or we change everything including our ancestral differences, disputes and related wars? Can we change and evolve from our present-day level of civilization? What would be our potential? Since we are an evolving entity, even our potential would be constantly evolving with us, so where are we going?
