The Insecure Individual’s belief System
Throughout our history we have been preached about right and wrong. When preaching is considered as the law we run into more social problems, because of the enforcement of the law requires clear definitions and insurance of that the injustice is not done to an innocent. Stealing should be against the law, because looking at our history as a creature or any other creature, it can lead to a life and death situation. We don’t have to dig deeper to find out that stealing is a crime, just look at the other creatures and even human beings responses against the loss of any possession unjustly. Certain rules can be applied to basics but when it comes to nature our rules have to comply with it for instance when hungry you have to eat to survive even having children is a natural order, you can’t put right or wrong on it. It will happen regardless, there has been no success for any kind of rules against this natural phenomenon. Chines could not control their population regardless of the strictest rules, nor any religion has succeeded regardless of the education of morality.
There are hundreds of different cultures and societies of human beings; they have their own ways of doing things. When we say that they are all wrong, because they are not following the way we do things it means we are wrong as a human being. If a couple is married with certain tradition other than the Muslim or Christian we can’t claim that their children are all basterds. It is plain wrong not to accept the differences. When it comes to common crimes like killing or robbing, they are all against the law in all societies, but having children is an ethical issue of all groups not a law, enforcing rules by killing people is actually against the law of nature.
We can’t train ourselves according to ethics, and our world has been shrinking for a very long time and its about time that we learn that our ethics and laws should be separated. We can’t carry on clashing over our rights and wrongs.
Our strong desire not to be associated with other animals has taken its toll, we push so hard to go on the other extreme and become fundamentalists, we believe so passionately that we are right, to the point that it gets us to cross the lines of humanity and we become worse than the animals we perceive are inferior to us.
We are created as a human with an animal side and we can’t be any other way. If we choose any extreme, we go against God’s will. We just can’t be animals but we can’t be totally other than that either. We have to follow the nature, may not be like the other creatures, but like human. We function like other creatures, we need oxygen, we bleed, we eat, and have strong natural desire to reproduce. These fundamentals have not changed since the beginning and would not change, so claiming that our way is the right and only way is plain arrogant and egotistic.
Every society has social problems, the more you try to control worse it gets, and eventually you join the change with time. Ethics are self created boundaries and they can be good for one individual or a group, but no one can or should enforce these ethical rules as laws, because we are all at different levels of understanding life and we belong to different backgrounds as well. If we have to live together we need to define the boundaries, in social settings we need rules of the law and general ethics of self regulation.
When you look at the reasons behind all the social problems in today’s society, it all boils down to the individual. Our control systems are mostly tainted with the fear based politics. Hypothetically, look at two groups or gangs of twenty. The first group has the traditional hierarchal way of governing. The boss has all the power and he rules with an iron fist. The workers don’t want to voice their opinions, because of the fear even for their lives. Thus loyalties are based on the fear. The leader would kill any person with the prospect to be a leader and replace him, in order to keep, or hold on to his power. The group members are not recruited in order to be leaders. Their ability to lead is not valued and yes-man personality types, encouraged. A leader would pass the power to a family member like property as he become incapacitated for what ever reason. If the family member can’t take care of the business, the group may fall apart.
On the other hand the second group encourages leadership qualities in every member. It can have every member with the ability to lead. Both groups have the vulnerabilities to fall apart for different reasons, but the loyalties of second group are not fear-based. The fearless climate can encourage spirited discussions and arguments which have the ability to take the group in any direction. It can divide and become smaller entities or strengthen as one entity, because it can resolve issues by bringing them to the table. Strong individuals can make a better and stronger group, if they can resolve their differences. This is how our world is working, are we successful in dealing with our problems? well we are in the process so it is up to the individual to decide how to live this life.
Looking at history strong leaderships have been destined to fail, because of either a natural process of aging or by any other reason of leader’s death. Weaker and fearful individuals can’t form a group if they lose the strong leader, causing the group of weak individuals to fall apart. A group is only as strong as the individuals in the group. A group is always as strong as its weakest link. Again it all boils down to the individual.
Whether it is a small group a gang or at larger scale, as a nation or a religion, our human nature plays an important role in the system of security and control. Learning about our nature is as important as knowing the strategies of intellect. If we have insecure individuals, we have insecure groups. Hidden insecurities of the individuals within the groups dictate the political policies of the group. Conflict within the group policies have always been a black mark on the face of humanity. It has nothing to do with the Devil and everything to do with the human’s cunning knowledge because we are able to hide the truth in the politics.
If you create or encourage the secure individuals to form a group, their discussions are not tainted with the sense of belonging to the group politics, because they are all CEOs. They are all able to think beyond the differences of group politics and reach for the humanity as a whole. If as an individual, we learn about our insecurities we can find the reasons for our strong need for the sense of belonging to a group. If we know the reasons for the need of a belonging group, we can break the boundaries and learn about the individual connection to all mankind, other wise people like Donald Trump can become leaders just by using security card. He talks about building walls yet Ronald Regen used a famous fraise of ” tear down the wall of berlin”. Humanity needs to become one in order to evolve.
When one can feel secure enough to stand alone, independent and self-reliant, we can understand the need and the price we pay to belong. History shows and it still clearly exists, that an individual is not recognized as a force by the society. In the traditional group politics an individual is insignificant, so the wars of groups continue. If we as an individual start to question our group politics and acknowledge an individual’s suffering, we will start to seek peace as a basic human right.
Human wars will not stop unless the individual feels secure from within. This is not possible unless we start to unite as a human entity. The internet is a God sent opportunity and can be used to further the cause of the individual. It is time to move beyond nationalism and promote internationalism. Denounce politically charged organized religions and spread their original messages of humanity and spirituality pure of their politics.
We must work against the beliefs that, we are better than others. With education we can bring awareness of the true purpose of our evolutionary soul. The Godly side of the human has not yet been completely recognized. The discovery of our potential and fulfillment to God’s will is our responsibility. You can’t grow as an individual if you don’t seek to grow.
Each and every society has its law and order, manifestoes and systems to function. We make amendments to improve and change along the way as the times demand. Religions should not be part of the laws of societies. They should stay as individual’s courteous responsibilities.
Tolerance to each other, humanity and spirituality’s importance over the belonging group has become a must for today’s societies. Tolerance is an order of God, just look at our progress as humanity, we have been evolving gradually and it can not happen if we are not flexible. The evolving human must not go to the extreme. The extreme is not acceptable for the human beings because we all are in the process of evolution and are not a finished product thus until we reach our full potential we can’t take a solid stand in any department of our life. You may have to making judgments but they have to change as our knowledge evolves. The process of growth is ongoing. In this situation we all should respect each other’s blind faith and live together in harmony. Peace of the world is in the hands of the individual, because the individual with the inner peace is always tolerant with the ability to spread what is felt inside. Today the need of tolerant people is greater than ever. You cannot say something is truth, until you have grown enough to embodied that truth within yourself.
Since faith, religion and God are all in the area where we need to evolve, and know more, we should all be humble about our lack of knowledge. Claiming that my religion and God is better than the others is like a child who is just starting to compete and compare regardless of the level of knowledge. The more we dig in the crazier we can get because we don’t have the capacity to understand every thing yet. Competing and comparing can get us ahead, but the area of God, spirituality and humanity is above all that. Interestingly if you look at the essence of this knowledge, it all point towards the mindset of altruism yet our religious wars have taken the biggest toll of human individual life. Preach what you practice, it can’t get simpler than that. All major religions are not doing what they preach. All the morality, ethics, compassion, forgiveness, sacrifice and love goes down the drain and the religions become political entities.
Comparison is off limits in spirituality. The best thing about all religions is that they started to teach us to do good for others, even for other creatures. Spirituality came through religions in the beginning until they became tainted with group politics which made them do the injustice against the others. Spirituality is all about doing good for the humanity not for certain group of people. It is serving the humanity and God because I believe God lives through the human individual thus humanity.
We are required to protect our belonging religion, at all cost yet religions have been fighting with each other and are plagued with in-fighting. If no one knows 100% about God then why do we fight so passionately over God? It is time for the human individual to shoulder the responsibility; it is our duty to understand that our knowledge is evolutionary, and at any given time we can’t claim that we know every thing there is to know.
If we are locked in the ideologies of right and wrong not only our capacity to explore diminishes, we deny our evolutionary nature, though it is present in our every day life. There is no doubt about the knowledge the Holy Books contain, but understanding that we as evolving humans have an incomplete ability of the knowledge. We have interjected our half knowledge, which is tainted with a strong sense of belonging and infected with an attitude of mine is right and better than others. If an individual can reach to the altruistic stage, the inner peace helps to find tolerance with in and the peace flows outwards regardless of the faith.
Goodness does not belong to any one particular group, race, gender, nation or religion, it belongs to the individual and we need more of these people who are not infected and or are immune to the competitive stage of our growth. As an individual we all need to understand the process of our growth and the importance of free will.
The status of a CEO is a responsible job; you can’t just claim that you are a CEO. You must be able to do justice to all departments of life? Can you make decisions without the influences of outer forces like religions and inner forces like sense of belonging and freedom?
A CEO believes he/she is constantly growing and changing as required. It is against human nature not to grow over time, but it is quit popular and egotistic in conservative societies. God did not mean for human beings to have free will and be like the other creatures. We can take charge of our lives as we please, for better or worse. If that is the case, we are more responsible than we are lead to believe. If we take it to an extreme and think that we are it, our knowledge is it; we start to regress as a spiritual being. History shows both extremes. We have been progressing and regressing back and forth, yet still progressing. Our evolution is multi – prong which makes us a natural and God – created CEO.
When you start to juggle with all the departments of life, you automatically become a politician of personal life. One department can become more important at any given time, and can be attended to without losing sight of the other areas of life. Our connection to our inner and outer worlds needs attention, so the focus can go back and forth on various departments, yet they all stay as departments. If a person gets sick, the ‘health department’ should become the priority because without health everything else fails, so our priorities change temporarily as needed.
With free will we become the decision maker who knows how to deal with the inner problems while at the same time staying connected to the larger picture.
Regardless of our self-importance human is quite insignificant and fragile. Everything in his/her life is highly dependent on the harmony of several natural events. Even the next breath is out of human’s control. Fortunately oxygen is provided free by nature, and the ability to absorb oxygen is another intricate dance dependent on several automatic systems running simultaneously. The abundance of confidence hormones can make us forget how fragile we actually are.
We plan our whole life as if we are in total control, until some thing happens to make us realize where we stand in the bigger picture. A good CEO should know that, so he/she can make decisions accordingly. The politics is always needed to bow down or stand up in all kind of circumstances. If that is the case human’s truth can be changed at any given moment. Since I am suggesting that a man should live life in total control and take charge of every thing, then first we need to learn about ourselves, our limits and abilities. A good CEO should be able to see the potentials and limitations of the project of his life.
If you are working on a computer and it does not do what you want it to do, you don’t just start to pray to God for it. Either you call some one who knows more about the computer than you or you do your best to figure out the problem. If God is fixing every little problem you have, you will leave every thing on God to run your life which is against God’s will. God has done the duty by giving us free will and the potential; we should not undermine God by not giving our best before asking the help. If we believe God is doing every thing good for us, we will blame God for every thing bad in our life as well. Sure our life story calls for good and bad, but our will helps us to be a good CEO and to make the best with whatever we have.
We are far too much controlled by the group politics. It is time to bring the individual’s importance and responsibilities in fore front.
The trouble is that good and bad is dictated by the group politics, your being good in your belonging group does not guarantee that you become good. If your group says you will become a hero if you go and kill some innocent people, you go ahead and do it, thinking you are a good guy. If some one ask, you say, you were doing your job, meaning you did stop to take responsibility to your actions. If you are legally adult, in today’s court system you are responsible even if your group or boss has ordered you to kill some one.
We are blessed with the free will and that makes us all responsible for our actions. We don’t even follow the orders of God, because of our free will, why can’t we say no if it’s wrong to follow the group politics?
We need to really work to understand the free will, sense of freedom, sense of belonging, group politic and above all the humanity. We can’t blame our sins to devil or other people. God has done his job by giving us the power to choose. As an individual we have the responsibility to become a CEO, and reciprocate to God and humanity for our temporary life time.
We all start as a drop of rain on the mountain, which has gotten together with the action of the ocean and the cloud. Whether God existed as an ocean or became an ocean with mass of people whom believe, either way the majestic powers belong to God. Disasters or any thing like that which is beyond the human comprehension should not be blamed on Devil or credited to God because we need to work on our comprehension.
Since the ocean can cause the rain, so the drop of rain belongs to the ocean, just like us we start and finish in the ocean. Our journey of life is an example of how a drop of rain can turn into a raging river, yet it’s related with the other people around. The pride, honor and ego are the side effects of the strong sense of belonging. There is nothing wrong with pride and ego until it start to hurt the individual or the others by the individual.
As we reach higher and closer to our potential we are understanding more and more with time. Inside the box or out side, if you are a curious individual you have the responsibility to make your choices. The choices should be without the influences of sense of belonging, ego, pride, sense of freedom, sense of revenge for lost loved ones, land dispute or simply the differences of opinions. We are all different and are influenced by the knowledge, we are wrapped around by our belonging groups or the politics of it. I wanted to end here but the news from Quebec compelled me to mention that in this day and age, even in the modern country like Canada we are still dealing with the intolerance and even language issues. These are the prime examples of politics of sense of belonging to a group, yet we should be secure enough to belong to the whole humanity as one entity.
